Statement of Beliefs

We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired and only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; Psalm 19:7.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:1, 1:26a; John 10:30, 15:26; Matthew 28:19.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin, sinless in life. We believe in His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. John 3:16; Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 4:15; John 20:30-31; Ephesians 1:7; John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 5:3-8; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17.

We believe that man is sinful by nature and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential and an absolute necessity for his salvation. Romans 3:10-12; Titus 3:5-6.

We believe in the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is able to live a Godly life. 1 Corinthians 3:16; Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:16.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto eternal life and the lost unto eternal damnation. John 5:28-29.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27.

We believe in the creation of man by the direct act of God. Genesis 1:26-28, 5:1-2.

We believe in the institutions of marriage and the family, the church and the government as established by God in His Holy Word; that parents are solely responsible for the care and training of their children; that the purpose of the church is to provide for the fellowship of its members, and to equip them to minister to the needs of one another and to provide a witness to the lost; and that the purpose of government is to provide for the safety of its citizens and to protect them from evildoers both from without and within its borders.
